 Damon Allen is considered one of the greatest CFL quarterbacks of all-time. Leading the all-time pro football passing chart with 72,381 passing yards, Allen surpassed Warren Moon's total of 70,553 yards (in both the CFL and NFL combined) on September 4, 2006 during the annual CFL Labour Day Classic. He also stands fifteenth on the all time professional rushing list (third on the all-time CFL list behind Mike Pringle and George Reed) and retired only 323 yards behind his older brother, NFL Hall of Famer and Superbowl MVP, Marcus Allen.

John Forbeck is the Director of Education for the Grand Erie District School Board.

John began his career as a special education teacher over 30 years ago. In the following years, he taught in elementary schools and has served as a school administrator in both at the elementary and secondary level.

He served as a Superintendent of Education for many years, assuming a variety of portfolios including responsibility for families of elementary and secondary schools, compensatory education, human resources, board operations, as well as staff and community engagement.

As Director of Education for the Grand Erie District School Board since 2010, John has focused on implementing the Multi-Year Plan through three key areas: Achievement, Environment and Engagement, while upholding the Board's vision, mission, belief and values.

John has been active in a number of community initiatives with a proven track record of fostering partnerships. He is a strong advocate for public education and a champion for doing what is right students. His success can be attributed to his belief that all decisions are made with the child's best interest in mind.

John's commitment to the students and community of Grand Erie is motivated by the Board's mission, which is to engage, support and inspire all learners to achieve and succeed.
